What is the cost?

My fee is $225 per 50 minute session. I have a limited number of sliding scale spots. Please get in touch to discuss your needs.

Do you take insurance?

I do not take health insurance. However, I am an out of network provider which means I can provide you with a monthly superbill so you can use your out of network health insurance benefits (PPO plans). This means you will pay out of pocket for our sessions but depending on your insurance plan you can get reimbursed a percentage of the cost. Check out this guide to learn more about how to use your out of network benefits for therapy.

How often do we meet?

We meet at a cadence of 1 session per week. I find that meeting less frequently than 1x per week it is difficult to gain momentum and be effective. We may figure out that more frequent contact would be beneficial and decide to increase to more than once per week.

Do we meet in-person or online?

I offer both in-person and telehealth services. I have an office in Encino for in-person psychotherapy. For people who cannot make it to the office I offer telehealth sessions via a HIPAA compliant video conference for residents of California.

How long are sessions and how long does therapy take?

Sessions are 50 minutes long and are held at the same time and place every week. Some people have a specific goal in mind and meet that milestone within a couple of months and decide to stop therapy. Others find that the ongoing relationship is immensely helpful and decide that longterm support is something they are invested in. Either way, this is something important that we can talk about to make sure you are supported throughout this process.

How do I prepare for a video consultation?

Make sure you are in a private space (no one else in the room) with a hands free device that has a strong internet connection. Silence all notifications and limit your distractions as if we are meeting in person.
