Explore The Complexities of Your Inner World

Welcome.

Whether something recent brought you here, or you’ve been thinking about therapy for a while, I’m happy to talk you through what to expect.

You’ll lead our sessions by talking freely about what’s on your mind, and together we’ll follow our curiosities to better understand your emotional experience. I strive to create a space where we can explore what has felt too difficult to face alone.

Over time, new insights will emerge about who you are, what you hope to change, and what kind of support you need. In therapy, we can begin to appreciate your strengths, better understand how you cope, and find new ways to relate to yourself and others.

If you’re worried you’ll never feel better, even after trying everything, therapy offers a chance to explore your feelings in a new way.

Over time, we can understand what you need and how you can create meaning in your life.

I work from a relational psychodynamic orientation, which aims to help us understand the nuances of our inner emotional world and foster curiosity about things outside of our awareness. We will use our relationship to better understand common themes in your relationships with others. I value self-exploration and believe that meaningful long term change is possible.

I aim to create a space where people from all backgrounds, ethnicities, races, genders, religions, and sexualities can examine themselves closely and honestly. That being said, I believe trust with a therapist is built, and not a given. I am open to discussing any questions you might have about myself, my experience, and whatever it is that you might need to know prior to committing to working together. I look forward to hearing from you about what it is you are hoping to work on, and what kind of support you are seeking.

Prior to entering private practice I trained at The Maple Counseling Center working with adults and couples.
